Harvard SEAS BRIDGE (Building Relationships, Increasing Diversity, and Growing Engineers) Week is an initiative begun in 2018 celebrating excellence and diversity in engineering. The event engages with students, emphasizing the importance of diversity in STEM, discussing current challenges, and teaching how to foster inclusive environments. More information about the program is provided here.

In 2025, CUA students and faculty presented science demos to a group of high school students.

Presentation explaining holography High school students look at holograms. High school students look at holograms.

Students were shown a presentation explaining holograms, and then got to make and examine their own.

Students are shown a presentation on spectroscopy. Students observe spectra. Students observe spectra.

Students observed the spectra of light sources and a presentation discussing spectroscopy.

Superconducting puck levitates along a magnetic track. Rotating magnetic top levitates. Up close image of a superconducting puck levitating under a magnetic track.

Students watch magnetic levitation with superconductors and rotation.

Students watch a presentation on resonances. Students explore resonances with tuning forks. Students attempt to place electrodes into a model of a vacuum chamber. Some students explore resonances with tuning forks while other students attempt to place electrodes into a model of a vacuum chamber.

Students learn about resonances, explore them with tuning forks, and attempt a simulation of assembling electrodes for resonance tuning.
